Greifswald Zoo

Raccoon, monkey & Co. on the outskirts of Greifswald's old town

The Greifswald animal park is idyllically embedded in a 3,6-hectare park, in the middle of which rests the swan pond. Over 100 animal species feel at home in the enclosures - including well-known breeds of domestic animals such as donkeys, pigs, goats and sheep, but also more exotic companions such as meerkats, kangaroos, porcupines, coatis and raccoons. The zoo is also home to a wide variety of bird species, from zebra finches and budgerigars to owls, storks and colorful peacocks. The little capuchin monkeys have made themselves comfortable on their new monkey island.

For small and large animal lovers

Along the circular route, the animal park is supplemented by various play elements, which can be used to measure strength and train the senses. Small and large it is possible to see the animals on the accessible stork meadow and in the petting zoo to get very close. An adventurous adventure playground invites children to run around, balance and discover.
