Shopping & stop off

Gastronomy, enjoyment and shopping in Greifswald

The lively heart of the city beats in the old town of Greifswald. Small shops, pretty cake cafes and stylish galleries are hidden in the midst of gabled houses and brick Gothic architecture. At the market you can write your postcard over a cup of milk coffee or take a look at the St. Nikolai Cathedral on the way to the nearest boutique. The regional weekly market takes place on the market square four days a week.

Restaurants & cafes

Whether fish rolls from the cutter, poppy seed cake in the gabled house or gourmet cuisine in the marina. If you take a closer look at the gabled houses and fishermen's cottages in the city, you can discover many a Hanseatic treat for the palate. Classic dishes are reinterpreted, young baristas rely on sustainable products and freshly caught fish comes directly from the cutter. The leaflet gives you a complete overview of the gastronomic offer in Greifswald Culinary delights – restaurants, cafés & bars. We present a small selection here.
