Culinary city tour

Culinary journey of discovery through the old town of Greifswald

Follow in the footsteps of hospitality in Greifswald - from the founding of the Ratskeller in the Middle Ages to the coffee culture of the 21st century. Where was the oldest pub in town? When and where could beer and wine be served? Who was the first Ratskeller landlord? Where did Swedish kings and common craftsmen eat? You will learn this and more on your culinary city walk through the historic old town.

Between the stories and anecdotes, stop at four Greifswald restaurateurs who will welcome you with sweet and savory delicacies. You will learn interesting facts about regional fishing, global coffee trade and stately winegrowing. The only conditions for participation are curiosity and hunger.
