night watchman tour

"Hear you people, let yourself be told" - Greifswald in the lantern light

On every first Friday of the month, visitors have the opportunity to meet the Greifswald night watchman on one of his forays through the streets of the historic old town to accompany. With his halberd he ensures peace and order and protects his companions from thieves and drunken rabble. At nightfall and in the glow of his lantern, he knows how to tell strange, scary and entertaining stories from times long past - from the founding of Greifswald, the Gray Monastery and the murder of Heinrich Rubenow.
