Huge butterflies, flying penguins and colorful paragliders - on November 03th the sky over the city will be colourful. Then the "Greifswald Kite Festival" will take place for the second time.
From 10 a.m. to 16 p.m., young and old visitors can fly their stunt kites through the air on the landfill hill on the Ladebower Chaussee.
A professional pilot will also be on site and skilfully steer a huge show kite over the event site. There is also a bouncy castle and a make-up station for the little guests, as well as a selection of food and drinks to keep you going. If you don't have your own kite yet, you can spin the wheel of fortune and win a cloud stormer on the spot.
From 09:30 a.m. until after the end of the event, a free bus shuttle from Stadtwerke Greifswald will take visitors from the central bus station to the landfill site and back. Sufficient bicycle racks will also be installed on the event site. If you still prefer to come by car, you are referred to the car park at Museumshafen/Salinenstraße.
