Sailing tours on the Baltic Sea, Ryck and Greifswalder Bodden

Come on board! Greifswald is a city by the sea. Although you can already feel the maritime heritage of the Hanseatic city on a walk in the museum harbor, the Hanseatic tradition can only really be experienced on board a sailing ship. Both the »Greif« as the city's flagship and the ships in the museum harbor take guests on board. Shorter trips to the Greifswalder Bodden are possible with the passenger ship »Stubnitz«.

Bodden tour

The excursion steamer "MS Stubnitz" runs daily during the season from the museum harbor (mooring: north side) via the fishing village of Wieck to the Greifswalder Bodden and back again. On the way back to the museum harbor it is possible to board and disembark in Wieck (mooring: south side) in order to explore the fishing village and the Monastery ruins Eldena to explore.

evening cruise

This year, too, it's time to cast off for a romantic trip to the Bay of Greifswald. The crew of the traditional sailing ship "Vorpommern" takes sailing fans on an approximately 3-hour evening trip (including a welcome drink and hearty on-board soup). The evening sun can be enjoyed especially on the way back to the museum harbour.

Bookability: from June 05.06.2024th, 1, every 3st and XNUMXrd Wednesday of the month
Duration: from the museum harbor – guests board at 15:00 p.m., disembark around 20:00 p.m
Cost: €59,00 (adult), €30,00 (young people/children up to 14 years), children under 6 years travel free of charge – including a welcome drink

S1 sailing trip with the museum ships

The historic ships are lined up like pearls in the Greifswald Museum Harbour. On board the museum ship Vorpommern, you will discover the city from the water and sail from the harbor past the fishing village of Wieck to the Bay of Greifswald. A small snack will be provided on board. Sailing skills are not required.

Open-Ship Sailing Training Ship »Griff«

The schooner brig built in 1951 as a state yacht for the then President of the GDR Wilhelm Pieck is the flagship of the city of Greifswald. The ship sailed the seven seas as a training sailor for the People's and Merchant Navy. Crew members provide insights into life on board by prior arrangement.
